Winter Essentials for Every College Gal! 💞

Ok ladies, this weather has not been playing with us this winter. I can not deal, but I love styling my winter clothes so I will tough it out. I decided to make a list of a few winter essentials that I, myself cannot live without. I will also post a few outfit ideas that I’ve created just to show how you can style these items going to class or just going out on the town with your girls... or boo. 😉 Let’s GO!!! 

Clothing/Accessories

Ok, so first, every girl NEEDS a pea coat. If you don’t have one, get one. It’s important to have because it’s a classic, it’s easy to style, and ummm it’s caaa-ute! You can wear this to class, church, on a date, etc. Like I said, if you don’t have one, find one.

Now, you’d think this is a given... but I must admit, I JUST invested in a great pair of gloves. Not the kiddy kind from Dollar General but a sturdier kind that will actually last and look nice with your pea coat.

Beanies play an important role during the winter. Although I used to think these were the ugliest things ever when my mom had me wear them to school, I find them to be a required accessory now. They will definitely keep your head and ears warm, girl. All while being cute!

Leather jacket!!!! Just invest in one and prosper with it. I promise you won’t regret it. It’s so easy to style and can really be worn with anything.

Oversized jean jackets are fire! If you follow my personal IG, you can see me stylin’ and profilin’ in mine. It’s especially an essential for those casual days. (It doesn’t have to be oversized...)

A neutral scarf. Whether you’re dressing up or down, during the winter and that skin cutting weather, you definitely need something around your neck & chest (look at me sounding like my mama!😃).. 

*I say neutral scarf just in case you either have a lot of scarves but none to match your outfit or just not a big scarf wearer but still in need of one.*

Uggs!!!! Now, these are another item I thought were ugly and I said I’d never wear them. But I gave in! They are the most comfortable and can be put with so many outfits. If you don’t have any, just try them on and I promise you’ll be in love. Just give them a try at least once, sis. Plus they’re great for walking campus.

You can’t go wrong with some simple over the knee boots (or thigh boots). They keep your legs warm and they can be styled casually or dressy. Definitely trendy!

Fur moccasins are the ultimate comfy shoe. You can wear them with an outfit to step out in or just around your dorm/apt.

Lastly... rain boots. It literally rained all week last week where I attend school. Unfortunately, I left my rain boots in my hometown. I didn’t realize how important they were until I was stepping in puddles. Girrrrl, they are required. So go get you a basic pair and stay prepared! 

There’s so much more that we all need in college to just stay stylish and prepared for what Mother Nature comes at us with, but the things I listed above are definitely a great start and can get you on top of things. 

With the items listed above, I went and created some outfit ideas for you all. Just to give a little insight as to what to put with what. Most items are under $50.
