Hello Loves!

I am wrapping up on my abroad posts today. I've been procrastinating way too long. Scotland was a very short trip. We only stayed 3 days, so not much happened. However, it was such a beautiful place and I did enjoy myself. So let's begin, shall we?

July 28th

This was one of the few days we had left abroad. We got to Edinburgh around 6:30 pm and I was in instant awe of how beautiful it is. The first sign that I saw was Waverly Mall. I automatically thought of Wizards of Waverly Place. lol.

After we got to our cute hotel and got settled in at around 7:30, I got dressed to head out with my old roomies again. We had a goal to eat Mexican that night but the place was already packed and small. Very small! So we walked in the cold and rain and found an Italian restaurant... which is always a go to.

After we ate, we returned back to the hotel to prepare ourselves for the next day.

July 29th

We were blessed with a free day on the 29th. YAY! Originally, we were to get on a hop on hop off bus again, but gurrrrl, I did NOT have time for that. I needed to go shopping... BAD! Our farewell dinner was the following night and I had run out of personal items, so a bus was just in the way. I headed out around 11am to get some money exchanged (I was holding on to American money since Amsterdam. lol). I walked around trying to find the exchange place for 45 minutes because my GPS was on some other stuff. FINALLY found it and got ripped off, but hey! that's beside the point...

After I exchanged my coins, I headed to H&M & they had the BOMBEST sales. I meaaann! So I went all the way in (and then got a discount... hayyyyyy!). With the big head, I moseyed on down to Primark (y'all knew) and then to Zara. I actually went back and forth between those stores trying to piece together outfits for a good 2 hours. Let's not judge here.

After a long day of shopping, I returned to the hotel and decided to stay in for the rest of the night because ya girl was officially homesick. I also had a knot by my ear and didn't know what was up with that. I got some food and watched Netflix for the night. Fun, right?

July 30th

Our last day in Europe!!!

We started our day early on the 30th. We had breakfast and then headed to Holland and Sherry, which is a pattern weaving place that makes suits. We got behind the scenes on how suit patterns were made and took a tour of the factory. It was a great and unforgettable experience. After we left, we headed back and had a little time to get ready for our dinner.

Soooo. Heading to dinner, I got lost. Alone. IN THE RAIN! Now this story is for another day. I'm still traumatized. BUT good news, I found my way!

We ate, had a good time and wrapped up our night. It was bittersweet but I was ready to get back to my family.

July 31st

We woke up early to begin our journey back home. Our first stop back in the US was the fabulous New York. From there, it was North Carolina and then Atlanta for the night.

Finally, MISSISSIPPI. I never thought I'd be so grateful to be saying that. But I was tired! It was a journey. Especially for my first time away from home and that far off.

I am so very grateful for this experience. I'm glad that I was able to travel and get to see other parts of the world.

I hope you all enjoyed my little travel experience. If you have studied abroad or just traveled to travel, I'd love to know about your experience. I am always open to dms, emails, and comments.

With love,

-Bria
