Bria, You are officially 23. This has been such an amazing, yet wild journey. Thankfully, God saw something in you to keep you here this long. Blessed you are. I am beyond proud of you with everything you have done and are still doing. You have beat the odds coming from a single parent household. You have conquered things you thought were impossible. You have become a young woman of substance, grace, and definitely of favor. You are undeniably a unique individual. Over the years, you have overcome a great deal of hardships. Low self esteem, bouts of depression, and heartbreaks are some of the things you have dealt with. However, you never let those things define you and for that, I stan. You have very quietly went through most of these things on your own; with the help of God, of course. In addition to these, you have thought humbly highly of yourself, you have been the happiest girl alive, and you have let your heart feel love and live again. These are the things that matter most. Although you’ve failed quite a lot, you have also stood strongly behind yourself and succeeded. You have taken losses with so many people and things, but you refuse to be defeated by that. You don’t hide behind a loss; you simply fight for a win until you get it. I love that about you. I also love that in spite of difficult roads, you still see the bigger picture. Where there are clouds, storms, and heavy rain, you see the sun, rainbow, and bright blue skies. You never let things set you back for long. Always pushing for greater because you know it’s coming. I love that you have learned to stand your ground and never let people walk over you. Being the soft, shy girl was never easy because you were always afraid of being picked on or overlooked by peers but you have toughened up. Thankfully, you still have those soft, shy days though. It’s what makes you you. I am most proud that you have learned your worth. You have always been a jewel but I’m glad to know you know that for sure now. Continue to wait on God to send worthy people your way. They’re coming. Be patient. LaKambria, you are simply amazing. Sometimes, you may let yourself down or get discouraged but in that, always ALWAYS know you’re capable of overcoming anything. I want you to always see yourself winning even in losses. I want you to always pray and seek God even when you feel abandoned. Always chase your dreams no matter how unobtainable they may be to others. Always be the sweet girl you have always been. Always be of help to others. Lastly, I never want you to feel too defeated to keep trying. Never feel like you have to change your ways to suit any friend or man. Never think you aren’t enough. Never quit something you’ve started. Never feel down on yourself to where you are consumed by self consciousness. You are one of a kind, embrace it. You have made it to your Jordan Year. Happy birthday, Bria!
